Best! Newest! Sleekest! Shut up and pour

I never imagined giving much thought to my appliances.  Little did I know about the relationships that I would form with coffee pots & waffle makers and many microwaves.  The relationships would change over the years, similar to how relationships often change with people.

The changes or upgrades we make are supposed to deliver tangible results I would suppose, why else bother?  We expect faster, or cleaner, or crispier, some benefit that makes “it” better. 

My refrigerator is now sleeker & more energy efficient, with lots of neat drawers for more stuff.  My toaster toasts the same way every time I cook my favorite Bays English muffins.  Whether its high-end technology & stuff from Finland I haven’t even heard about, or classic GE, Maytag, or Sunbeam, we like what we like, or we don’t give it any thought at all.

Home appliances will continue to evolve, trying to anticipate problems we don’t even know we have and offering solutions that we can’t resist.  I love my vacuum.  It’s a Tineco A10 stick vacuum and it’s light, versatile and easily does the job for my home.

I really never thought I would enjoy vacuuming, but damn it I do on some occasions.  No dust bunny is safe when I’m wielding that thing.  Ah, life has a funny way of telling me I’ve settled down a bit.
