Wolfeboro Area - We are including Wolfeboro, Alton, Tuftonboro and New Durham in this catagory. Each town has its own charm and character. Perhaps more importantly each town has some great "small" lakes and plenty of views. Home to Ossipee Lake, a 3,092 acre paradise known for its fishing and proximity to the White Mountains, Ossipee is the county seat for Carroll County. True snowmobile enthusiasts will call Ossipee the birthplace of the snowmobile invented in 1913 by Virgil D. White.
